First Day in Toronto, eh?

Yes, it's the first day in Canada, the first day of 2008, and the first day that we actually get to hear Alan Mandell speak in his native Canadian accent (or do they all sound like recent British emigrés here)? Alan will also be giving a demonstration of the proper way to do a full hockey body slam. "Crusher," they called him on the ice.

Having checked into the Delta Chelsea, we have all gone our separate ways to explore the environs. We're next to several bars, which should please Tom Gebbia. And across the street from Zanzibar where "The girls never stop!" Exactly what it is they continue doing remains to be seen, but I'm sure Mike Boland will give us a full account. And the warmer weather will doubtless have Tony Ward dodging moosepoop on his runs around town. Charles Borland meanwhile is in hiding as he finishes his thesis, "The Origins of World War I, or Vas Iss All Dis Noise?" David Lively has scouted his fresh nighttime feedings. And Benim is apparently far more versed in Français than I ever knew...

More to come...
